Mental Health Awareness Coalition (MHAC) originally formed in 1995 as “The Mental Illness Candlelight Vigil Coalition.” The Coalition is made up of representatives from the mental health agencies within Maricopa County, as well as advocates and service recipients. The Coalition identifies and plans events that will promote mental health awareness and eliminate stigma associated with mental illness.
