Healthy Food Demos
Description:
Magellan Health Services of Arizona will host Healthy Food Demos at central Arizona’s adult direct care clinics around the Valley. Participants will learn about healthy food portions and how to create healthy yet tasty meals with small changes. Snacks and recipes will be given away.

Co-hosted by Ramiro Camarillo, Magellan of Arizona, community development and media relations manager, this special program will feature a service recipient, a family member, a psychologist and a pediatrician who will discuss how substance use disorder affects the individual, family members and society as a whole. Line Dance for Wellness
Description:
Thousands of people across the country will get up and get moving in a Line Dance for Wellness on Friday, September 23 at 10:10 a.m. Please join Partners in Recovery and Marc Center at PIR’s East Valley Campus, 4330 E. University Drive, Mesa, AZ 85205 at this time to take part in a Line Dance for Wellness. Participants will activate their pledge for wellness and commitment to reducing early mortality by 10 years in 10 years for people with mental and substance use disorders.
Line dance spans generations and cultures. Come and have fun and recruit others to join you!

Walls of Recovery
Description:
Magellan Health Services of Phoenix is sponsoring Walls of Recovery at central Arizona’s adult direct care clinics around the Valley during the month of September. Service recipients will post their stories of recovery on the Wall of Recovery. Each story will focus on how family and friends have helped in the recovery process.
